I'm wide awake

I like sleep. I feel like I need a lot of sleep. Definitely more than the average person.
But then college game day rolled around. Logan and I decided we had to go. Not to mention, we had the best idea for a sign.

Yes, that is a picture of Honey Boo Boo and her mother all dressed up in their Clemson gear. Gag me.
We also just made a semi-boring ESPN one. Swinney is Clemson's coach.

I went to bed around 12:00 and woke up delirious around 5:00 because we wanted to get there by 6:00.  We were afraid that would be almost too late to get a good spot, but I was not about to wake up any earlier. We got to the field in plenty of time. Around 7:15 they opened the first corral to let people in but they became very picky and if your signs were on sticks (like ours were so they could be seen), they did not let you in. We were able to stand right behind corral devision and right next to the fly-over camera so we know our chances of being seen would be high.

And we were right!  We had people come up to us saying their sister, mother, uncle, ect had just seen the Honey Boo Boo sign and asked if they could get a picture of it.  Hello, we're famous!!

Around 10:30, we decided that we had had enough and went home to rest before tailgating for the big game. The game was amazing! It was sooo loud and so much fun.  After a slower first half, the Noles came out and destroyed those tigers.

And I got to wear the game day dress that I made with my sister when she came to visit me this summer. I am so proud of this dress. I love it.

I wish all of us roomies were together in these pictures and not broken into two.

I love night games.  Obviously they're not as hot as day games and the energy always seems to be so much higher.

When we won, they shot off fireworks for a good 5 minutes straight. It was awesome.
We finally made it home around 1:00 am and I think I eventually went to bed around 2:00, hence I was awake for 21 hours. But it was worth every second.

Chinese Party

We were craving Chinese food. And not just any Chinese food- we wanted that semi sketchy (although hopefully not too sketchy) dirty, greasy, delicious Chinese food in the little white cartons with the red Chinese writing. At least that was the description we used to describe it. So after asking some of our friends that are originally from Tallahassee where a good safe Chinese restaurant was, we came across Bamboo Wok. It was perfect- cheap, yummy, and only about 10 minutes from our house.

We invited our old roommate Harper to party with us.  And of course, no Chinese party would be complete without eating on the floor.  So we spread Logan's awesome huge quilt and set out our feast.

One negative to this whole experience was that the sesame chicken Miranda had been dreaming about was not covered in sesame seeds like their lovely picture depicted. I heard it was still what dreams are made of though.

Do not be fooled- I have no idea how to use chopsticks.  But I did know how to demolish this second dinner!  Yes, I overbooked my dinner plans this night and first went to my friend Beth's philanthropy event and then continued to second dinner of Chinese Party.

The cute little white boxes made the night.  We did also learn (unfortunately too late) that you had to ask for fortune cookies. We were all so stuffed without them though that we were okay.  Chinese Party was definitely a success.
